Second Sunday after Epiphany

There are few celebrations as fun and joyous as a wedding reception. The great joy of seeing a man and woman united in holy marriage, starting a new household, finding great joy in one another and looking forward to all the blessings of marriage. And there is one marriage that brings with it joy like none other – the union of Christ our Lord to the Church, the marriage through which life and salvation comes to man. What greater cause of joy could there be? Thus, our Lord blesses the marriage at Cana with His presence and His first miracle. Our Lord has prepared the finest wine in all of creation – the wine of His own Blood which was poured out for the forgiveness of all our sins. Let us come and drink deeply of God’s love and forgiveness and rejoice in the marriage feast of the Lamb in His kingdom which has no end. I look forward to seeing you this coming Lord’s Day.
